• Started Hosting: August 10, 2004
• Pending Sites: None.
• Status: Open again as of December 05th, 2005.
• Cgi, mysql, php, etc support
• Subdomain (whatever.purrmeow.net)... All fanlistings/namelistings will be hosted at my fanlistings subdomain (fanlistings.purrmeow.net/whatever)... Only fanlisting collectives will be hosted at a subdomain (whatever.purrmeow.net) instead of my fanlistings subdomain.
• Custom email address with 5mb 15mb of space (you can have whatever@purrmeow.net or whatever@yoursubdomain.purrmeow.net)... OR, you may have a FORWARDER instead, which will send your emails to another address, masked by another.
• At the most, 10mb of space (unless more is requested)... 25mb of space.
• No ads or pop ups!
• Databases (just ask, and I'll set it up for you)
• Hostee update blog. I'm thinking about giving all of my hostees access to blog here, at Purr Meow.net's main site to notify visitors of their updates.
• Free advertisement on all of my sites.
• I am looking to host sites that relate to any of mine: Personal sites, blogs, interesting fanlistings/namelistings (info), collectives, zine sites, video game fan sites, web design related sites (tutorials, graphics, resources, etc), or music fan sites (RnB, Rap, or Hip-Hop). I am also looking for portfolios, plug sites, or directories.
If you would like another type of site hosted other than what's stated above, it either has to interest me or you have to be someone I'm already friends with. =D If you have a site that's not related to one of the above, try me anyway if you think I'll like it.
• An ftp program. Sorry, but this is the only way you can upload your pages and such. =( If you need help finding a free program or help on using it, let me know. AOL members, simply go to keyword "FTP".
• Skills. I'm not picky, but you must have some background in web design.
• Content! You may NOT use my space as just storage.
• At least 14 years... And by that, I mean age =)
• One link back to http://www.purrmeow.net somewhere on your site. It can be on the splash page, on your links page, or etc.
• Basic HTML, at the least. Sorry, but I don't have time to teach this... If you choose to use a script that requires PHP, I may be able to help with the basics.
• How to use FTP... I'll help you with the basics of it.
• No spamming, no porn sites, and nothing illegal.
• No uploading: mp3s, videos (unless they're by you), exe's, etc
• No download sites (sites that are strictly for downloading items, my bandwidth is sacred, lol)
• No hotlinking unless it's within reason. I do not mind small banners or buttons for link exchanges or whatever (plugsites), but please be reasonable with whatever else you direct link to... A big no-no is direct linking in a cam portal. Cam portals tend to have the automatic refresh, which really kills bandwidth. I learned that the hard way, lol.
• No GM. Please use a different blogging system. Sorry, but I keep hearing too many issues coming about due to the use of GM.
• Once you're accepted, you'll recieve an email from me with details to get started. Please respond within two weeks, lol; so I can know you're still interested. There have been times when I've set things up and the person never get started, they just disappear. I understand things come up, so a simple email within two weeks, even if it just says okay, is fine with me! =D
• I have the right to delete whatever I want without warning, but I'm nice (no, I don't run around looking through your folders or deleting things; but if I go to your site and notice something illegal or the place I purchase my hosting from does, I will delete it without warning). If you break any rules or guidelines, you will be warned for minor offenses. If you're caught doing anything illegal, then you'll be deleted and banned without warning.
• Guidelines are subject to change! I'm not picky, so go ahead and submit!
